Slacking...
So it has been sometime since I dropped a line in here. So screw it I am going to say something.
Finally made it back to the theatre for some of the summer movies.
3 in the past week, War of the Worlds, Fantastic Four and Wedding Crashers....
Lets do the run down shall we...

War of the Worlds...Tom Cruise has lost his mind and apprently his ability to make a decent movie. This stunk worse then the time I leftt my dirty dishes in the sink for a week. The story gets going fine, but then its simply a running and looking over the shoulder every now and again movie. Without giving anything away the ending is very abrupt and there were holes in the story that maybe should have been explored a bit more. Overall a very poor showing from Cruise and Spielberg, Minority Report was much better.

Fantastic Four...While this is not like its name implies it is much better in my opinion then WotW...As far as comic book movies go this is middle of the road, much better then daredevil or the hulk, but not as good as spiderman or batman begins. I had fun, being familiar with the comic it was quite close and did feel like watching a actual comic. The Thing looks awesome, really well done! Jessica Alba is always fun to watch, and the Human Torch was good comic relief. Dr. Doom didn't really do it for me too much, but was pretty good. If a sequel happens it would be nice to see the Silver Surfer show up and maybe Glactus as the storyline. Who knows...

Wedding Crashers...What are you doing reading this, go see this movie!!! Funniest movie I have seen in a while, a tad long maybe and a couple lulls, but this is better then Anchorman and on par with Old School!!! The best part, the trailer does not give away the best jokes or much of the story at all. I laughed my ass off, and I may even go again. Vince Vaughn is at his sly humor best, the way he talks you just have to laugh, Owen Wilson plays the love sick puppy but has a few good laughs. A Classic to say the least!!!

SO yeah, a few more movies coming, The Island, The Dukes and Hustle and Flow on the list to see for me.

Bubble Wrap
So I been pretty slack about writing stuff in here, and in my defense I have been somewhat busy, not too sure what I was doing but still.
Went across to PEI for the Canada Day weekend, and you know the worst part about that day? It seems to be the only day we broadcast we are Canadian, people are covered in Red and White, drinking good Canadian beer and just having a good time. Sure its Canada's birthday and stuff but why not celebrate Canada everyday, it is the best Country in the world, with the best people in the world so how about we kick some ass and celebrate all the time!

Bubble Wrap rules, what a great invention, not only does it protect things while they are shipped or moved it gives you something to play with afterwards. I could easily spend a couple hours popping the wonderful bubbles.

Tomorrow is my birthday...I'm getting old...

Space Monkeys & Walmart
Have you ever gone to Walmart, just stood in a isle and listened to some of the conversations that take place in that store? Wallys world is generally found in most semi metropolis areas and somehow it attracts the most interesting people, much like flies to a dogs droppings. Generally you see large amounts of  Nascar items on the men, accompanying their wives and 2 kids. The kids are usually grabbing at everything they see saying I want this or that, and that just pisses off the mother who starts getting upset, while the husband is checking out the fishing supplies in the "outdoors" section. Just take a few seconds the next time you are in their picking up the cheap stuff that nobody needs to enjoy the interesting world that is Walmart.

Anyway, long weekend is upon me, off to the island I go...

Stiff, Sore, Painful, Ouch, Why Me?
So, I play ultimate frisbee, it's a ton of fun and I really enjoy it. My body however does not, my big fat frame lumbering around a soccer field is quite painful. Then get an email about a competitive team and I figure why not....WELL, doing lunges, leg lifts and running on ones toes really beings to hurt. Its a good pain, but soo painful.

Victoria Secrets is having a sale tomorrow...sorry, great commercial. Hmmm, what else have I done. I suck, I go to work, come home and go to work. I feel like the back of a bottle of Head and Shoulders, rinse, lather and repeat but instead it's Work, Eat, Sleep repeat.

So I met the Smiths
Yesterday was shaping up to be rather boring, it was wet, rainy and just plain not nice. So what do you do when the weather sucks, well go to the mall with the rest of the town right! So I bummed around through the mall, avoiding the minikids who just hang around cuz it's "cool" and the old people who walk into a store and just stand there. So after dealing with the crying bloody murder kids I decided to go to the theatre and seek refuge. Mr. & Mrs. Smith was just starting so why not eh. I must say, this was a strange movie, I was not really sure what I was expecting and as a result I was entertained. Pitt and Jolie look like they had a lot of fun doing this movie, there plenty of sly jokes, funny looks, and plenty of explosions.

What else....Groceries, can spend 60+ bucks and not have anything, kinda sucks. I did make a great stir fry so all was not lost.

Today is Father's Day, call yer Dad and show him ya care. Why am I up so early?

Catch ya on the flipside.
